Both layers within The Prince can be linked and unlinked, using the link/unlink buttons. This determines whether parameters and automation will affect the layers individually, or tether them together.

This is particularly useful for sound design, as it allows you to apply different parameter values for each layer. Try experimenting with different LFO rates and shapes, different Filter Cutoff frequencies and different pitch ranges between each layer, to see how this can help you to achieve more interesting and unusual sounds.

Within your DAW, each parameter within The Prince has a dedicated automation parameter assigned to each layer. This allows you the flexibility to automate e.g. the Filter Cutoff frequency of Layer A without affecting the position of Layer B's Filter Cutoff frequency.
